One of my favorite Kelly Rae prints (mounted on a wood panel). I actually got to buy it from her when she was at Sqaum Art Workshops back in 2008. So thought this photo I took this past weekend fits today as I just signed up for her e-course. I am excited to learn some new things and from such a super sweet and cool person. I’ve been following her blog since early 2006 and it’s been amazing to watch her just blossom, and I have a ton of questions to ask about all this art business and can’t wait to get started!

I’m back in the studio, have some really exciting things in the works, and can’t wait to show off some of my new paintings here in the coming weeks.

Been awhile since I posted here, I have missed it. So what exactly have I been up to, well if you haven’t noticed or just maybe haven’t refreshed the site there is a whole new website design I launched just the other day. I finally got some of my branding things worked out and created myself a logo so then started a ball rolling down a hill. What I ended up with was a cleaner, happier place for my art.

I am hoping to keep this design around for a lot longer than just a few short months. As much as I enjoy designing my website, and changing things,  it always takes me away from getting a lot of other things done. I have officially spent the last week either at work or on my computer creating, editing, and coding my site.

But now that I am done, I can finally get back to taking pictures, making art, and maybe there is a beer or two in my near future.

I have no idea where the last week has gone. I just realized I haven’t posted here in quite a few days. The reason for the absence is that I have been getting ready for my Closing Reception for the Gallery Walk this Saturday, also been packing for Squam Art Workshops and anxiously awaiting next week to get here. I will also be selling at vendor night there too, and feel totally unprepared, even though I am trying my best to make sure I have it all figured out by next Wednesday!! The butterflies and nerves are setting in, but I know it will all go away once I get there. Last year proved that.

I’m back! Hope you all had a wonderful, peaceful June. As for me, I let June unfold however it needed to, and though this past month was not the relaxing and peaceful month I had hoped for it was one that taught me many lessons. No, I didn’t find the peace I was looking for, but I do feel rested and have a ton of ideas just ready to burst out. If you haven’t already be sure to refresh as I have completely re-designed and launched my new website. There is also some big news coming on Friday so be sure to check back! I had a doozy of a day yesterday and hope to write about it in the very near future, or maybe just forget about it and pretend it never happened. Anyways it’s good to be back here, and I am looking forward to getting back into the studio really soon, and getting back on this blog train!
