Instead of Doing I Paint It

I never really have practiced yoga on a regular basis. Do a few of the poses here and there. I did however get into pilates for an entire six months. Kinda wish I could make it something I do daily, just haven’t had the motivation lately. So instead I paint it. Been working really hard to get a commission piece done. Want it to be perfect so really been trying to put some time in on it. Working in oil again too something I abadoned a couple years ago, although recently got back into because of Shiva paint sticks which dry super quick. I have realized though how much I miss it, I just wish I had the room in my studio to keep a ton of drying oil paintings away from a furry animal.
One thing i’ve found during my time in my studio this past week is how I tend to work in short bursts. Painting and being creative and well thinking it is tiring. I find that I get a good burst of energy from 9-12 in the morning then again around 2-4 and after that I pretty much crash. I do sometimes get a second wind and manage to squeeze in an hour or two later at night around 8 or 9. Until recently I never really paid attention to how wiped out I get from actually sitting down and working for consecutive hours. I try to force myself into a schedule but am just trying to find the natural flow that works for me. At least for the time being, getting a normal job soon may put a damper on the whole natural work flow. Ah well such is life.
I’m off to see wizard…have a wonderful night.
