Dear 2008,

11:44 pm ramblings

As you near your end I have to say that I am glad to see you go. You have been a rough year for me in so many ways. You have asked some difficult questions and given no answers. You brought some disappointments I could have done without and you were very frustrating at many times.

Though you were rough you were not without some good. You have helped me grow and given me room to change. You gave me the courage to face fears, and overcome some obstacles. I am most thankful for the time you gave me. You gave me time to figure some things out and time to find my own inner compass.

Though these first few weeks of 2009 are going to test me I learned from you this year that a lot can happen in a year both good and bad. Thank you for giving me time and space to grow and for teaching me some things along the way. I look forward to next year to bring what ever it may. To be open to the possibilities and to find the courage to explore the vast unknown that lays ahead.

Goodbye 2008, it is here that we must part…

xo
