If you have been hanging around here or facebook or instagram, you may have noticed me mentioning The Alphabet Dance, my e-course! I thought it would be a good time to share a little backstory, why the course rocks, and starting your own daily creative practice.

To start I am super passionate about art, and wanting to teach it. I haven’t had a ton of chances in my life yet to teach, but I am turning that around slowly but surely. This e-course started out as a vision to start teaching, and yes I really do prefer in person sessions but for right now this is where I am at. Back in August I finally settled into my new studio and wanted to get back into making art again after almost a two year hiatus. I thought of how I could keep myself motivated, have a daily challenge, and make art everyday. It started with the alphabet, setting a few rules and then just beginning! Today I am starting round five of the challenge, and this e-course blossomed out of it because I wanted to share my excitement with you.

One of the best parts about working through the alphabet with limits to art supplies and what media you are going to tackle is that there is always an end in sight. You work through the letters, look back at all 26 paintings and can move on knowing that you just learned a whole lot about creating in a certain style. It has been a way for me to use art supplies around my studio I haven’t touched in years, hone in on styles and ways of creating, exploring my ability to create digitally as well as traditionally. Needless to say this has been a journey.

I’d love for you to join me on this adventure and work through one round of the alphabet in mixed media. It’s actually quite simple, and I’ll be here to encourage and support you along the way. Today is the last day to get in on the boxed version, where you will get all the supplies you need to create your entire alphabet. Have a bunch of supplies? Just sign-up for the un-boxed version and you’ll still have access to all the great content i’ve created for you!
