Art = Hope
The whole world drifts away the second I am actively creating art, and it has always been that way. You know that feeling, the one where you lose track of time and the world around you falls away. It is with my art that I hope to capture a little piece of that feeling for you. I’m glad you are here to find out more about the artist behind the art.
I want my art to transport you back to those days where coloring outside the lines was encouraged, and rolling down a hill on a hot summer day brought waves of giggles!
My colorful, and free flowing paintings and illustrations are meant to bring back those feelings, to transport you to a time when play was what shaped your days.
Hi, I’m Stacy Kathryn Holst an illustrator and artist. I love working with different mediums, and exploring all types of art supplies. My more recent work has taken the leap to the digital realm as I learn how to bring my art alive in another medium.
I hope you’ll follow me along on my journey as I continue to grow into the artist I’ve always been chasing after.
I am an artist, simply put.
I grew up in the big city of Chicago, where I often craved green space and the quiet hush that only the country could bring. We spent many of my childhood summers camping, and in Door County, Wisconsin, where I now live. It is among the trees, water, and solitude that I’m finding my art and navigating my life as a new mom.
Art and creating is something I’ve done from the time I was a little girl. I was always making stuff, even if only a dream world in which to play in. Finally, after many detours I managed to get a paintbrush in my hand at the age of 23, and this adventure began.
