Back in the Studio

As you can tell it is taking me awhile to get back into this routine again, and its taken me awhile to get back into the studio as well. I haven’t stepped foot in my studio for weeks, probably well over a month. This past weekend I finally cleaned it up and organized it, as things were starting to accumulate and it was turning into a dumping ground for all sorts of stuff. Today I got to spend some quality time in my studio actually painting. It was so nice and just felt right, which it hadn’t been for quite some time now. Though it has been awhile since I painted, I have been drawing and doodling and coming up with ideas for new paintings. This girl just keeps popping up and expect to be seeing her showing up in lots of paintings in the near future. Here is a bit of a sneak peak of a painting in progress. No idea where this one is going, but I am being patient and letting it emerge from the canvas as slowly or quickly as it wants.
