I See You

Just spent some time sketching eyes today. Wanted to practice a bit. Still could use some more I see after viewing these again. Eyes have always been something I am drawn to in art. If I see a realistically painted eye I just drool. It is something about seeing something that is so animated be stuck on a page or canvas. I love how eyes of paintings follow you, and how they can be a challenge to paint and draw. It is always the best when you step back and know that you got the eyes just right. They can make or break portraits and it seems if you get them right the rest of a painting just tends to fall into place. Back to getting some work done around here, got a date with the TV in about an hour!
